So I went shopping last weekend and found this really cute shirt at Old Navy. They have it in many colors and prints. Although they didn't have the printed ones in the store, and I like it so much better than the one that I got. Oh well I'll have to order it online if I want it! Last night I took some pictures of Grady while we were outside. He just woke up from a nap and was so grumpy. He's starting to get some more teeth in and I think that was part of it. He's also changing so much. He used to be the best eater and not ever get enough, now he's so busy and you can hardly get him to sit still and eat! He's also really starting to talk. He definitely knows who we all are and it's so funny to hear him call me mamma, and Craig daddy. He knows my parents and Craig's for sure, mamaw and papaw he says! He knows his ba ba, and ball, and doggie. Craig's thinks he points and says "look" and it sounds like he says "thank-you" too. He's becoming a little man already!

On Tuesday we have Jace's preschool orientation. I can not believe that he is going to be 4 years old pretty soon and in preschool 2 days a week. That is going to be so different for all of us. I have no idea how he will actually act when I have to leave him there. He's never away from us much, but I know he LOVES kids, so he might LOVE it. I hope so. It will be nice to only have 1 child for 2 hours on those days. I know it's not long, but long enough to get some more things done with only 1 child destroying the house! Do you guys feel like that? I mean I will pick up all of their toys, straighten up the living room, get everything so nicely put away...and I leave that room and 2 minutes later it's messy again. Ugghhhhh! So frustrating!

Craig and I have started walking almost every night. We both need to get in shape again. I've also been using weights and a medicine ball at home too. Today my body is so sore! No pain, no gain right? I hope something changes with all of this flabbiness ha! It's just so hard to stay dedicated. We have been putting the boys in the jogging stroller together and they actually get along. Well usually at least 1 falls asleep so that helps. Jace fell asleep the other night and kept leaning onto Grady. We would push him to the other side and then he would fall again. It was so funny, Grady would scream and try to push him off. Brotherly love!

Today Craig had a dentist appointment so he took a little bit off of work so we rode along. On the way home Jace wanted ice cream so I got him a regular cone and Grady a baby cone. Oh what a mess they were!!! Grady has to hold his on his own. Yes my 1 year old in the backseat eating a cone all by himself you can imagine the mess and he had is foo foo in (which he DOES NOT NEED) but he kept trying to put the cone in his mouth with the foo foo still in! He didn't get that he need to take it out I guess was so funny! Look at these boy's with their hair down and not spiked up. They look so silly with it down... it's the same with my husband, he makes his hair stand straight up and I'm telling you the boys will have to do this the rest of there lives or they just don't look right ha ha, I guess that's the hairstylist in me, I started it already :(
Well I hope you all have a great weekend :)

So I just read my friend's blog and decided that I need to do this too. She found a blog that is giving away an Oreck XL gold vacuum worth $499.95!!! Can you believe that? I am a sweep-a-holic with 2 little boys, 1 dog and my husband. There is always crumbs or something on the floor and I sweep almost every single day! I get this insane cleaning habit from my mom, which isn't a bad thing at all. I can't imagine having a cluttered or dirty house. It drives me crazy when things are "out of place" or when my husband leaves like the tooth paste out on the counter, or the hand towel messed up. I know crazy right? I can't help it... cleaning OCD lol! So anyways back to the give-a-way.

So go to
Mom Knows It All and sign up to win this!

You can go to the Oreck website and check out the Oreck XL Gold here!

It looks like an awesome sweeper. It features Hypo-allergenic filtration, antimicrobial protection, two speed settings, a 5 year warranty, and 5 annual tune ups!

How exciting would that be to win a $500 sweeper? I would be so excited. Since we've been married, which is 6 1/2 year's I've been through so many sweepers. I just haven't wanted to spend so much money on one every time they break or quit working. I think back and think if I would have just purchased 1 good one, I'd probably still have it and not wasted so much money on all that I've owned! I REALLY want to win this :)

So go, go now, go to Mom Knows It All's blog and check out this awesome give-a-way and sign up yourself!!!!!!!!!! It's ends on 09/12/09 so don't wait any longer, go enter!!!

We did not have a very eventful weekend. Saturday my mom and I took the boy's and ran to the mall. It was pretty busy, everyone shopping for back to school clothes. I was in the mood for some fall clothes as it was only in the 60's outside when we went. I got a few cute things and was excited about that. I was looking for a pair of shoes for little Grady man. He is almost 15 months old and hasn't worn shoes a whole lot. It's not because I haven't had several pairs for him - it's because it's been summer and my kids are always running around barefoot. Jace was the same way, he didn't wear shoes for a really long time. He would NEVER leave them on! So the hunt was on. He curls his toes when you try to put shoes on him, so tennis shoes were out. I LOVE little tennis shoes on boys, but they are so HARD to get on when they curl their toes! So I found the cutest ("coolest" as the boys would say) pair of brown Converse All Stars for him. I love them. He looks so grown up with them on paired with his ripped jeans!

I have to show you these next pictures. Jace got a Hanna Montana tattoo out of a quarter machine and we put it on his belly. It's HUGE! We keep telling him that it's his girlfriend. He keeps saying "it will wash off the next time I take a shower" and it hasn't yet, so yesterday he said "I need to take a MILLION showers, before it will wash off." Too funny! I have no idea what this goofy face is in the 1st picture! What a stinker! The 2nd one, he was eating supper and spilled chocolate milk all over his shirt, so Hanna Montana was really exposed lol!!!

Saturday night we got to babysit baby Emme for awhile. She is 7 months old now and Aunt Jenna thought it was time to do her nails! Yep, I just couldn't wait any longer. I painted her little tiny toenails hot pink! She is stylin' already :) ( The pictures are on my other camera, boo! I will have to show you guys later)

It definitely felt like fall, not only because of the weather but because of this...

Yes that's right my husband was so excited because football was on tv. It wasn't just any football, it was the Miami Dolphin's. Ugghhhh I am not a bit excited about fall, it is his favorite season though. I still want summer, the hot sun, the pool - I'm not ready for that to end. I know we are going to have some more hot days, but it won't last forever :( It's almost September!

My mom and I kind of matched yesterday, we both had some yellow on. So we decided to have Craig take some pictures of us. We are big dorks, we know...

Well I hope you all had a great weekend! Thanks to all of you who just started following my blog too :) I LOVE having all of you here and LOVE all of the comment's you are leaving me!

Wow, sorry it's been a few days since I've blogged. I am still so new to this whole thing and I would have NEVER realized how much time it takes to do this! I am LOVING the whole blogging thing and need to work on a more daily post for you guys :)

Well since it's "favorite fashion find friday" I wanted to do something a little different today. I love watching like the Today Show when they have the "Deals and Steals" fashions. So I thought I would do my own deals and steals on flats today. I love shoes, and you can never go wrong with a great pair of flats. Especially with having 2 kids and running around, flats are super comfy, but still oh so stylish! So here we go - I hope you guys enjoy...

So I LOVE these shiny gold flats

The 1st pair are the AE Croc Flat and retail at $29.50

The 2nd pair are the Old Navy Faux Patent Ballet Flat for only $8.99 right now!

This 1st pair is from J.Crew and they are adorable! I love this bright plum color. They are the Kelcey Suede Ballet Flats and retail for $98.00

Then we have a pair similar..definitely not as cute, but you could totally pull them off and they are from Target. They are the Mossimo Odell Ballet Flat for only $12.99!

I love sequins and I really LOVE these flats. The 1st pair are from and are the Wanted Shoes Women's Dizzy Flat for $49.95.

The 2nd pair are the Jenny Sequin Ballet Flat from for $18.80!!!

So you see, if you just shop "around" you can find shoes that are very similar to the "expensive" ones for a lot less! Plus then you can get 2 pairs instead of that's my kind of thinking! More for your money!

It is so nice out today. It's a lot cooler and not as humid. The sun is shining and I turned the A/C off and opened the windows. We don't have big plans this weekend, so it will be nice to just hang out. They are having hydroplane boat races this weekend at our lake. We might take the boys to check that out. I think the boats go as fast as 100 mph, so they would probably think that was pretty cool this year.

Yesterday we had our house appraised. We have had it for sale for several years with no luck and we finally have a contract on it. We are super excited and hoping that we sell it soon. It is sounding good so far, it's just a waiting game from here on out. Please keep your fingers crossed for us :) If we do sell it, we will be moving in with my parents and then hope to build on some land that Craig's parents are giving us. So I will keep you all posted on that!

Happy weekend everyone!

It's that time again - Double coupons at K-mart! I got a few things free and a few really cheap so here we go...

My favorite deal is...

If you go to the L'oreal Paris website you can print of fa few coupons for "$1.00 off any L'oreal product." K-Mart has L'oreal Paris products buy 1 get 1 free right now.

They are $4.29 each. So if you buy 1 get 1 free it is $4.29 for two . Then you can use two $1.00 coupons because you are purchasing two separate items. So they double each coupon to $2.00. Making it $4.00 off. So your final price is $.29 for 2 eyeshadows!!! I did this 4 times!!! So I got 4 of these that would normally be $17.16 for a final price of $.58!!!!!!! Is that not exciting or what?

Another deal...

Pert Plus 2 in 1 Shampoo Plus Conditioner (I would never use this product as I used to be a hairstylist ha ha..noway nohow..but my husband doesn't care!)

So it is $4.69 at K-Mart. I had a $2.00 coupon. Double it to $4.00 and the final price is just $.69!!! The bottle is huge too!

A freebie...

Ajax handsoap/dish liquid is $1.99 at K-Mart. I had a $1.00 coupon, doubled to $2.00. Making this item free!

Another great freebie...

A1 Steak Sauce is $3.99 at K-Mart. $2.00 coupon, double that to $4.00 making it free!!!

Covergirl Eye Enhancers eyeshadow is $2.99 at K-Mart. I had a $1.00 coupon, double that to $2.00 and the final price was $.99! I had two $1.00 coupons so I got 2 of these! Pretty good deal to me :)

Well I hope you go to K-Mart and at least get the L'Oreal eye shadows :) What a great deal. I LOVE trying new makeup and you can't beat those prices :) Remember you can ONLY use 10 coupons per transaction per day. I'm sure you could go more than once in a day if you go to a different cashier! You can also only use the same coupon on 4 like items. You have to pay the tax (who cares!) Have a great Wednesday everyone!!!

We are so proud of our boy's Jace and Grady. Our local fair just started and they have contests every year and we decided to participate just for fun this year.

We put Grady in the "Baby Contest" and out of 2o some kids, he got 2nd runner up for his age group!!! I was so mad at myself though because we were in a hurry to get there and if you can believe it, I forgot my camera! How could I forget my camera :( I did get some pictures of him when we got home, and he was beat! You can see he was out! It was very hot at 2:00 when they had the contest, around 90 degrees!

2nd runner up - all tuckered out!

Grady playing with his brothers new Webkin

Then we decided to put Jace in the "Little Mister Mercer County Fair" contest. He had to go on stage and charm the judges. We had no idea what he would do on stage by himself, but he did really good. He must have charmed them pretty good because he WON! We were so excited for him! He got a big king crown/hat, a banner that says "Little Mister" and he got to pick out a Webkinz of his choice. He picked the American Buffalo and named him India! I have no idea how he came up with the name India, he just cracks me up! It was so fun watching the boys up there. There were about 4 girl contests and 1 boy. The girls were all dolled up, hair done, dresses on. They were all walking so nicely, smiling so pretty, and blowing kisses at the judges. Then there were the boys. They were going crazy on the stage. When they all lined up to see who won, they were all just out of order, dancing around, checking out the prizes. It was funny!

2009's Little Mr. Mercer County Fair

Jace charming the judge's, isn't he so cute :) or as he would say cool!

My niece Shi with Jace before the contest

We had a family reunion today and it was extremely hot out again! It was at a park and it was not fun sitting in all of the heat. The food was great and the boys got to play with their cousins so we had fun. Afterwards we went to my mom's and all got in the pool! We all got cooled down and ordered pizza. All in all it was a really fun weekend spent with my family! I hope you all had a great weekend too! Now I'm off to bed to get some much needed beauty sleep :)

We ALL were having fun ha ha! I was about to puke!

My 31 year old brother Josh swinging lol

My cousin Kaitlin with my niece Emme, aren't they so cute :)

Have you ever heard "pair something expensive, with something cheap?" I LOVE that saying and that's why I'm going to talk about some cute "cheap" things that I found at Wal-Mart!

Miley Cyrus and Max Azria have paired up and created a line for Wal-Mart. I was browsing the racks the other day and they actually have a few cute things that are SUPER cheap!

I got this yellow Pintuck tank top for $7.00. It fits really well and even washed really good! I love the pintuck detail around the top.

I think this is super cute too! Plaid Chiffon Smocked Ruffle top. Pair it with some dark jeans and how cute would that be? It's also only $12.00!

Well I am going to leave you with some pictures of us. I gave the boy's haircuts and thought this one of Grady was so cute!

Even though I cut their hair, they still get mad! Jace cried every time I cut his until a few months ago! Now he still doesn't like it, but we let him take a shower when he's done and that makes him happy!

Last night we took a walk by the lake and to the park near it. The kids love going to the park and have so much fun.

We had to have our picture taken with this huge fish. Jace is amazed at how big it is and talks about it every time we drive by. So we just let him get get a taste of it up close...okay more like the fish got a taste of him ha ha!

Happy Birthday...

August 10th has always been a very "special" day for our family. It's the birthday that both of my grandma's shared. My mom's mom and my dad's mom were born on the same day 10 years apart! My grandma Shirley a.k.a granny-bug turned 74 this year. My grandma Hines passed away almost 5 years ago and would have been 84!

Granny-bug got her nickname from the car she drives. She has a bright yellow stick shift Volkwagon Beetle. Can you imagine a 74 year old grandma driving a stick shift beetle? Her license plate even reads "grannybug." One time a few of us grand kids loaded into her bug and decided to have her take us out in the country and teach us how to drive it. When I mean we loaded in, I think there were 4 or 5 of us all together in it, including my brother who is 6'7"! His seat was literally in the back seat, he had it the farthest it would go and still did not fit well! We stalled that car, we jerked that car and we died laughing in the car!

Granny-bug is the type of person that would do ANYTHING for anybody. That's until you cross her, ha ha! She definitely speaks her mind and doesn't care what others think. I LOVE that about her and wish that I were more like her in that sense! She tells us that she has 2 loves in this life and it's her cigarettes and her grand kids! We are her enjoyment and so are they, whether we like it or not! She may be 74 but she still works 5 days a week. She still meets daily with her friends for coffee. She is still an awesome cook. Just an amazing grandma!

Then my grandma Hines. Also known as Nell Rose, what a unique name. She was the sweetest, nicest person one could ever meet. She did not have a mean bone in her body. She loved the smallest things in life and was happy at just that. She loved playing cards (we would play for hours), getting her hair done, and going to dollar stores! I remember one time when we were younger she was driving us to the Dairy Queen and it was about to close. She was driving so slllloooowwww...We told her to "punch it Margaret" and she just thought that was the funniest thing! She was so much fun. She had the biggest bubble gum collection and we thought that was so cool when we were little. No touching though! We would tease her about eating it and that was a big no-no! She left us way too soon in life, and never got to meet any of our kids, her great grand kids. She would have enjoyed them so so much! We miss you grandma Hines!

I don't cook very much, but I love to bake. So I decided to make my granny-bug a cake. Well, it turned out so good. I was so proud of myself. It was delicious. I will leave you with the recipe. Jace heard me talking about how I wasn't a good cook, but could bake and this was our conversation funny!

Jace: Mommy, you baked good!

Me: Yes Jace I think it was good, thank you!

Jace: Mommy, you're a good cook too.

Me: Not really Jace.

Jace: Yes you are mommy! You cook me waffles.

Me: Yes that's true Jace.

Jace: Mommy, you cook chicken nuggets too.

Me: Yes, I cook you those too.

Jace: And you cook me chocolate milk mommy, and that's it!

Ha ha! Don't worry my mom is a great cook and we eat there a lot! He isn't deprived of anything :)

Another funny thing he said today was "Harleigh (that's our dog) is going ballistic!" She was begging for food at lunch and that's what he told me. Then I looked at him and he knew I looked at him funny when he used that word. He goes "see mommy I can use that word too!!!"

Well, I will leave you with the recipe. Try it, I know you'll LOVE it :)
