Family Vacation 2011...

Thank you all for being patient while I had a much needed vacation with my family! Last Sunday we left for Tennessee. We stayed in Pigeon Forge. I've been vacationing to the Gatlinburg area since I was a little girl and it's so neat to now take my own children there. It's about a 6 1/2 hour drive so it's not too far, but far enough to get away!

We had so much fun and the weather was just perfect! It was in the 80's and very mild not to hot and not to cold. My grandma even came with us.

I think the boys drove her CRAZY but I know she enjoyed getting away as much as we did and it's always nice having an extra person with 2 wild boys!

We went swimming and the boys loved the slide at the pool...

it was very fast and just shot them off the end - so fun!

We took the boys to a fun park and they rode go carts with daddy

and even rode some by themselves!

They boys rode rides

and even went putt putt golfing...

and it wouldn't be vacation without a few meltdowns... LOL

love this picture of Craig bending down trying to reason with a 5 and 3 year old over golf! Seriously too funny!!

"he hit my ball, he went before me, why does he get to go with daddy this time etc..."

We ate at Dick's Last Resort...oh my if you haven't been to one you should! They are rude to you (all in good fun) and make you wear bibs and silly hats that say funny stuff! Grandma's was by far the best - I'm a Spice Girl.... OLD SPICE! ha ha!

We drove up to Cades Cove in the Smokey Mountains and got to see wild black bear which was so neat! The boys loved it.

The bear were huge and the deer were so tame up there...

We went to a drive through safari called Circle G Ranch. A friend recommended it (thank you Amanda!!) and if you are ever in the area you MUST go! It was so fun - you drive through and see pigs, ostrich, emu, deer, zebra, camels and so much more. You feed them from your car and they follow you everywhere.

My husband was feeding a llama and it spit on his head! Oh my I've never laughed, cried and gagged all at the same time. It was so funny but smelled soooooo bad! Just look at his forehead here...

and then the passenger window on our car sometimes gets stuck and my grandma was in this seat. The llama's and emu would not leave her alone! They kept following us and sticking their heads all the way in, oh it was sooooo funny - thank goodness we finally got the window back up or she might have been eaten alive, ha!

So neat to be able to drive right beside a Zebra! It's not everyday they walk right in front of your car either...

On last day there we went to a huge Christmas store across from our hotel

and then ended the night with a magic show at Wonderworks. There were no pictures allowed but it was the Terry Evanswood "The Wonders of Magic" show - another great thing to do if you are in the area. I was even amazed at some of his tricks and the boys thought it was the neatest thing!

Over all we had a blast on our vacation. It's so good to get away, but just as good to be back home!

I hope you all enjoyed the pictures and I want to wish you all a Happy Father's Day! I am very thankful for my dad, Kevin

and for my husband, Craig!

They are both awesome people and amazing fathers!

I will be back this week with more great reviews and giveaways! Have a great night everyone!!
