Sue Devitt Beauty Review...

Oh my - I was recently introduced to another brand of makeup! You all know how much I love makeup and I get so excited when new products arrive in the mail for review. Well Sue Devitt Beauty sent me some of their nature-inspired makeup products so let me tell you all about them...

The first product I'm going to tell you about is the Sue Devitt Microquatic Illuminating Concealer with SPF 20. This concealer is made with Microquatic Age-defying Complex which offers exquisite coverage, creating a youthful and radiant complexion. The light-reflecting properties of photo-luminescent microsphere visibly reduce the appearance of dark circles, fine lines, and wrinkles, and minimize imperfections. The siloxane-free and paraben-free formula features a soy-based active that boosts collagen production, prevents skin degradation in the delicate eye area and adds visible lift. Imperata Cylindrica, a unique Australian botanical, deeply hydrates. Orchid Extract imparts an emollience to skin, while anti-oxidant properties of Vitamin E protect from free radicals.

I received the color Great Sandy Desert and after wearing this concealer for several weeks now I will tell you it is awesome! I especially like the applicator. It's a very creamy concealer that comes in a long tube. You just turn the end and the product dispensed into the end applicator brush so you just sweep it where you need it. The coverage is great and how awesome that it has SPF 20 built in. This concealer is available in 4 different shades and retails for around $25.

The next product is the Sue Devitt Gel-To-Powder Blush. This velvet to the touch award-winning gel-to-powder blush formula offers intense hydration with a sheer, smooth finish to impart a youthful glow and lasting wear ability for all skin types. The revolutionary formulation contains Marine Collagen Filling Spheres which smooth out the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, creating a natural, healthy glow while ensuring a blendable, fool-proof application.

Again another awesome product! I've never used a gel-to-powder blush before. Only powders or gels but never a gel-to-powder formula. I have to say that I really, really like this blush. I received the color Kelai and it's so pretty on. It's the perfect blush to pop in my purse because of the little size that it is. Don't let the size fool you though because a little bit goes a long way. It's very easy to apply as well. You just swipe a little on your finger and then apply it to the high apples of your cheeks and blend in. It blends so easy and wears very well! It is available 4 pretty shades and retails for $20.

The last product is my new favorite lip gloss! It's the Sue Devitt Lip Enhancing Lip Gloss. Oh my this is my new true love. If I have nothing else with me I HAVE to have a great gloss in my purse and this one is just that! Luxurious lip enhancing gloss creates a visibly fuller look. Marine Filling Spheres smooth out the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and work in tandem with Peptides that promote collagen production. This gloss is available in 7 shades for only $22, and is designed to impart a flattering shine and sheer wash of color for healthy, hydrated lips.

I received the Coral Sands and just adore the color. It's so perfect for summer and just the prettiest coral pink you've ever seen. It goes on smooth and feels so pretty on my lips!

Overall I just love the Sue Devitt brand! I will definitely be purchasing more of her products :) I had on the lip gloss, blush and concealer in the picture above. Loved my makeup here!!

Peaceable Kingdom - Hoot Owl Hoot Cooperative Board Game Review & Lost Puppies Board Game Give-a-way ends July 3rd 2011...

Come into the kingdom and join the fun!

Summer is here and even though Jace is out of school we still like to keep him and his brother busy doing fun, educational things! Well we were recently introduced to a really fun company that has products geared just for kids and their imaginations...

Welcome to the kingdom—Peaceable Kingdom! Where dinosaurs roam and a mermaid princess swims, where a child can host a fairy tea party or sail the open seas on a pirate ship. A place of imagination and exploration and fun! Since 1983, Peaceable Kingdom has created fresh, fun products for kids that educate, inspire and tickle funny bones.

We had the opportunity to review a cooperative board game from Peaceable Kingdom called Hoot Owl Hoot and let me tell you my boys have had so much fun playing it! Hoot Owl Hoot is a color coded matching game that can be played at different levels.

The object of the game is to move all of the owls from the start to finish into the nest before the sun rises. They each have 3 cards in their hand. If they have a sun card they must use it to move the sun token closer to where the sun rises (not a good thing).

If they have a color card they can move it to an open color spot on the board trying to get the owls into the nest. They love the part where if an owl flies over another owl everyone starts hooting!

The best part about this game is that it is cooperative - meaning all of the players take turns but work together all working for the same outcome, so either they all win or all lose. This is so great for my kids right now as they get mad when one does something better or faster than the other. With Hoot Owl Hoot they all work together for the same outcome. A cooperative game eliminates stress, builds self-esteem, and teaches kids that playing together and cooperating with each other can be fun!

We have played this so many times and each time we have so much fun. You can start as a beginner with only a few owls and then add more to make it more challenging which is fun depending on if we are just playing with our 3 year old or our 5 year old or if we are all playing together!

Hoot Owl Hoot has received several awards like the Parents' Choice Silver Award, Major Fun Award and the Dr. Toy Best Green product 2011! All around it's just a very neat game that I love as a parent because it teaches them things like color strategy, simple strategy, following directions, social development and cooperation! My kids love it because it's just so much fun to play and even more fun when they work together and get all of the owls in the nest before the sun comes up!

Peaceable Kingdom has so many more fun things like Birthday Cards, Diaries, Early Learning products, Stickers and of course all kinds of fun, educational games!

Plow & Hearth 50' Ultra Light Hose Review & Give-a-way ends 06/28/2011...

I am a huge fan of Plow & Hearth - if you remember last year I featured them twice on my blog. In September I showed you guys the Set of 3 Recycling Bins which we use every single day!

Then in November I showed you guys their Winter Bounty Wreath which still hangs on my new front door, I just love it!

Their products are just so great and hold up so well. They have so many quality, useful products and with that being said I'm so excited to once again feature them on my blog!

Plow & Hearth sent me one of their 50' Ultra Light Hoses $59.95 which is available in 3 colors - Eggplant, Merlot and Olive like I received. It is also available in 100' as well as the 50'. With summer here who can't use a good hose - this hose is SO different than your ordinary garden hose because it is so light making it very easy to carry around when watering flowers, gardens and is perfect for washing the car! Not only is it very light but it's constructed from quality materials that make it durable and safe for drinking water too! With 2 boys running around in this hot summer weather that is a very nice feature!

This hose features a built-in tendency to resist kinking and coil naturally so it stores easily. It's solid color pigments create a dark, rich color that blends in well with your home's exterior and blocks out sunlight, preventing harmful bacteria from growing inside the hose. Most hoses are those dreadful green ones and this one actually looks nice outside of our new home. You will be glad to know that the fittings are machined from solid brass, then plated once with nickel and once with chrome for tight, leak-free connections and it's made right here in the USA!!

My husband and I both love our new hose. You guys might think we are crazy to be so excited about a hose, but it really is awesome! Our old hose was so heavy and it was hard for me to drag around the yard. Not only was it heavy but it wanted to kink all of the time and with the awesome kink resistant feature this one has it's so easy for me to use! And we love the colors of these hoses, they are just nice and blend in so well - not that horrid bright green hose most of us have laying around that looks cheap.

Once again we are very impressed with another quality product from Plow & Hearth! We love their products and just love our new hose! They have SO many useful household items and we love that you can read the reviews before purchasing an item which is a huge plus as we value the opinions of others who have previously purchased a product we are looking into.

Family Vacation 2011...

Thank you all for being patient while I had a much needed vacation with my family! Last Sunday we left for Tennessee. We stayed in Pigeon Forge. I've been vacationing to the Gatlinburg area since I was a little girl and it's so neat to now take my own children there. It's about a 6 1/2 hour drive so it's not too far, but far enough to get away!

We had so much fun and the weather was just perfect! It was in the 80's and very mild not to hot and not to cold. My grandma even came with us.

I think the boys drove her CRAZY but I know she enjoyed getting away as much as we did and it's always nice having an extra person with 2 wild boys!

We went swimming and the boys loved the slide at the pool...

it was very fast and just shot them off the end - so fun!

We took the boys to a fun park and they rode go carts with daddy

and even rode some by themselves!

They boys rode rides

and even went putt putt golfing...

and it wouldn't be vacation without a few meltdowns... LOL

love this picture of Craig bending down trying to reason with a 5 and 3 year old over golf! Seriously too funny!!

"he hit my ball, he went before me, why does he get to go with daddy this time etc..."

We ate at Dick's Last Resort...oh my if you haven't been to one you should! They are rude to you (all in good fun) and make you wear bibs and silly hats that say funny stuff! Grandma's was by far the best - I'm a Spice Girl.... OLD SPICE! ha ha!

We drove up to Cades Cove in the Smokey Mountains and got to see wild black bear which was so neat! The boys loved it.

The bear were huge and the deer were so tame up there...

We went to a drive through safari called Circle G Ranch. A friend recommended it (thank you Amanda!!) and if you are ever in the area you MUST go! It was so fun - you drive through and see pigs, ostrich, emu, deer, zebra, camels and so much more. You feed them from your car and they follow you everywhere.

My husband was feeding a llama and it spit on his head! Oh my I've never laughed, cried and gagged all at the same time. It was so funny but smelled soooooo bad! Just look at his forehead here...

and then the passenger window on our car sometimes gets stuck and my grandma was in this seat. The llama's and emu would not leave her alone! They kept following us and sticking their heads all the way in, oh it was sooooo funny - thank goodness we finally got the window back up or she might have been eaten alive, ha!

So neat to be able to drive right beside a Zebra! It's not everyday they walk right in front of your car either...

On last day there we went to a huge Christmas store across from our hotel

and then ended the night with a magic show at Wonderworks. There were no pictures allowed but it was the Terry Evanswood "The Wonders of Magic" show - another great thing to do if you are in the area. I was even amazed at some of his tricks and the boys thought it was the neatest thing!

Over all we had a blast on our vacation. It's so good to get away, but just as good to be back home!

I hope you all enjoyed the pictures and I want to wish you all a Happy Father's Day! I am very thankful for my dad, Kevin

and for my husband, Craig!

They are both awesome people and amazing fathers!

I will be back this week with more great reviews and giveaways! Have a great night everyone!!

Impel Clothing Review & Give-a-way end 06/16/2011...

I love clothes and consider shopping a favorite past time. It's so fun to get something new and it just makes you feel so good! Well I recently came across a really fun online boutique that specializes in modest basic (yet fashionable) layering tees, vintage inspired clothing, essential cami's and so much more! It's called Impel Clothing.

Impel clothing has sooooo many cute things and the prices are great!

I was sent a Long-Sleeve Lace Tee in purple and just love it! This shirt retails for only $20 and is just so cute. Not only is it cute but it's very comfortable as it's made from stretchy lace.

It is very sheer and is made for layering which is so fun.

The floral detailing is very vintage and I love all of the colors this shirt is available in like black, red, brown, purple, teal, white, ivory, charcoal, gray and dusty rose.

There are SO many other items from Impel Clothing that I just adore so let me show you a few...

I have been really into pearls lately and this necklace is just so pretty - Crystal Pendant and Pearls Necklace $38.

What a pretty shirt for summer - Beaded Lace Tank $26.

Here is another perfect item to add to your summer wardrobe - Short Sleeve Ruffle Cardigan $27 (select colors/sizes on sale for $21). It's so feminine and would be perfect for layering on a summer night over a tank top!
