Fort Rapids Indoor Waterpark - located in Columbus, Ohio. Review and Give-a-way ends 02/25/2012...

- PLACES TO GO -

FORT RAPIDS INDOOR WATERPARK COLUMBUS, OHIO

We are so excited to show you all another "Places To Go" feature!  Today we will be telling you about our recent trip to Central Ohio's Largest Indoor Water Park Resort - Fort Rapids which is located in Columbus, Ohio...

Fort Rapids is the perfect family fun travel destination where 60,000 square feet of wet and wild fun is waiting for the whole family.  This resort has a western style theme throughout...

when you walk through the front doors you immediately enter the wild west and a rustic atmosphere!

The front lobby makes you feel right at home - there are plenty of couches and chairs allowing you to just hang out with your family and friends after a fun filled day in the water!

Don't worry most of the furniture is very comfortable, unlike this huge wooden chair that the boys were loving!

Fort Rapids offers you many style choices when it comes to rooms.  They offer Jacuzzi Suites, Kids Bunk Bed Rooms, Standard Two Queen or One King Bed Rooms, Handicap Accessible Rooms and Villa Suites which can accommodate 6-12 guests!  We stayed in a 6 person suite as did my brother and sister's families!  Yes we ALL came to have some fun!

Our room was very clean when we arrived which is a MUST when staying somewhere.  We loved the animal print wallpaper in the bathroom and the in-room swim suit dryer was great!

Now onto the fun part...

Oh my we had so much fun at the water park!  There were 6 adults and 6 kids (all 6 and under I might add!) and 1 teenager - my neice, Shiann decided to come along and help watch all of the kids!

The water park features 12 unique water rides, a lazy river and a fun 1,000 gallon tipping bucket that WILL get you wet.  Below is a picture of the 40-foot tall interactive play structure that sits in the middle of the water park, you can see the 1,000 gallon bucket at the top.  They call this area Rascal Round Up.

We all enjoyed the water park and the kids had a blast exploring each area...

Jace and Grady loved the slides!

They also had fun just splashing around, water shoots out of so many places and buckets are constantly filling up with water and dumping, they loved getting soaked!

My niece Emme and nephew Dallas had fun exploring the Kiddie Korral which featured 2 small slides that they went up and down probably 100 times, no joke! (you can't tell from the picture that they were having fun, ha!  I promise you they were, unfortunately I only had my camera in the water park for a short period of time as it was wet everywhere!!)  It also had zero depth entry, and several small interactive areas for even the tiniest swimmers.  My niece Lucy just turned 1 and she has so much fun sitting in the shallow water and swinging in the baby swings that you can see behind them below.

Here she is smiling - don't you just adore her little ballerina suit!!

Here is a bigger picture of the kiddie area - I took this picture from the Fort Rapids website...

Several of the tube slides shoot you out of the building and then back in!

The boys loved hanging out in the 5,000 square foot Gold Rush Arcade with their dad's - shooting some hoops and winning tickets for prizes.  They split the tickets and got a few fun prizes and some candy.  The said it was the BEST night ever, it was so cute!

Here are 3 of the 4 boys giving you all a thumbs up - they were loving Fort Rapids!  This is in the hallway leading to the water park - such a fun atmosphere...

Here is a picture of us girls - My sister Jenny, myself, my niece Shiann and my sister-in-law Sara

I love this picture of me and my little guys - so glad we could all spend the weekend together at such a fun place...we have never been anywhere with all of us adults and the kids overnight so it is definitely something we will remember forever!
After we were all done swimming for the day we were excited to find out there were activities throughout the day and story time was at 9pm with milk and cookies included.  The kids LOVED this part.  They all got their jammies on and it was a great way to end such a fun day...

The below photo is from story time on Friday before everyone else arrived on Saturday - Jace and Grady and only 2 other kids were there this night - they thought it was neat having someone read to them while enjoying milk and cookies in front of the fire place.

Saturday night we did this again and it was crowded with kids - I have a few pictures but they all of other peoples children's faces in them and I don't like to post those as I wouldn't want my child posted without my knowledge.

Overall we had an absolute blast - after story time we headed back to the room with all of the kids and played some games.  Here is a picture of all of the kids except for baby, Lucy - they were having an in-room crawling race, ha!  Memories :)
