This time of year is so fun when it comes to watching television - Red Carpet Season you could call it. The SAG Awards and the Grammy's were both recently on, I love watching not only for the awards, but the best part is seeing the celebrities outfits, hair and of course their makeup!
Well one of my favorite makeup brands, Sue Devitt Beauty has some tips and makeup steps to help you get Red Carpet ready in no time...
First let's show you how to get a Radiant, Glowing Complexion...
Whether you want to be red carpet ready or just have a fun lunch date planned, a great complexion gives you confidence and makes you feel beautiful while wearing a dress or jeans!
When you want to look sweet rather than sultry, the best way to do it is to use a peach or coral hue on your cheeks and keep the rest simple.
To replicate Michelle William’s dewy skin, prep skin with a light foundation like Sue Devitt Triple C-Weed Whipped Foundation to even out your skin tone and cover up any imperfections. To achieve a natural flush, apply Sue Devitt Gel-to-Powder Blush in Malay Reef to the apples of your cheeks. Finish the look with a few generous coats of Sue Devitt Luxury Lash Mascara in Black Chocolate to add a sexy yet sophisticated edge. Finally, to pull the look together slick on a nude gloss like Sue Devitt Lip Enhancing Gloss in Golden Triangle. Who knew sweet could look so sexy!
The next look is all about Smoldering Eyes...
For this sexy makeup look, keep the focal point on the eyes.
Start off by lining the top and bottom lash lines with Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier Pencil in Kenya. Using the smudger end of the pencil, blend the color up and out to create a bold smoky eye. To intensify the look even more, apply a bronze-hued eyeshadow like Sue Devitt Silky Sheen Eyeshadow in Burma to your entire eyelid. Amp up the wow-factor by applying the bronze shadow into your lower lash line as well. Finish off the look by coating your lashes with Sue Devitt Lash Intensifier Treatment & Lengthening Mascara to create lush, look-at-me lashes that demand attention. Your date won’t know what hit him!
The last look is so great for spring. Everyone wants that Glowing, Sun-Kissed look. It just makes you look so healthy and is so fresh and the best part is that you don't even have to worship the sun!
Have a hard time getting the right glow?
Start by evening out your skin tone and camouflaging any flaws with Sue Devitt SpaComplexion Hydrating Marine Minerals Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15. Then apply Sue Devitt Gel Bronzer SPF 40 to the apples of your cheeks and upward toward your temples to accentuate your cheekbones and give your face definition. Next, sweep Sue Devitt Hydrating Marine Minerals Destination Eye & Cheek Palette in Beausoleil onto your cheekbones, across your forehead and down the bridge of your nose to create a seamless, bronze glow. Dust the same bronze shadow from the Eye & Cheek Palette onto your eyes to keep the look uniform and sweep on Sue Devitt Luxury Lash Mascara in Black Widow to make your eyes pop. Dab Sue Devitt Balanced Matte Lipstick in Suva onto your lips to create a kissable pout. Getting a sun-kissed glow has never been easier!
Sue Devitt sent me a few items to review, let me show you what I received...
The first item sent was the Sue Devitt Microquatic Prime Target Intensive Eye Treatment. If there is one area that I complain about most it is the lines and bags under and around my eyes, so when they sent this I couldn't wait to give it a shot.
Microquatic™ Prime Target Intensive Eye Treatment gel features a revolutionary, calculated-release delivery system. When applied, the gel targets areas that require intensive nutrition and hydration, similar in nature to the GPS tracking system. This transparent gel formulation should be applied underneath makeup. Pen-tip applicator controls release, dispensing a very small quantity to ensure maximum results. Light reflective properties create a gentle luminescent finish. Liquid Caffeine, instantly tightens and firms the eye area, eliminating the appearance of dark circles and increasing circulation under the eye which reduces puffiness. Amino Peptides hydrate and regenerate damaged skin while Orchid Extract, a natural moisturizer, fights against free radicals, promotes healthy radiance, protects eye vitality with antioxidants and reparative properties. Portable and perfect for touch-ups throughout the day. May be used as a daytime eye moisturizer.
I loved trying this. The applicator is so nice - it's like a soft gel pen-tip making application so easy. I have been applying it before I go to bed to help reduce the puffiness and dark circles in the a.m.!
The next product is the Sue Devitt Plumping Lip Gloss - Luxurious Lip Enhancing Gloss creates a visibly fuller look. Marine Filling Spheres smooth out the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and work in tandem with Peptides that promote collagen production. Available in 5shades, lip enhancing lip gloss is designed to impart a flattering shine and sheer wash of color for healthy, hydrated lips.
I was sent the color Alanya which is a really pretty pink hue. This gloss goes on super smooth and I love that it gives them some fullness without a harsh tingle like some brands do.
The last product sent was the Sue Devitt Gel-to-Powder Blush in the color North Cape which is a gorgeous light bronze color.
I love these blushes. This is my second one and they are amazing. I love how easy they are to apply. The Gel-to-Powder is great - it's very soft and blends so well. If you don't like traditional powder blushes then you MUST try this! There are 4 pretty colors to choose from and I'm sure one is perfect for you!
