I don't know about you guys, but my family and I love to eat.  One of our favorite foods is definitely seafood.  That's why were were thrilled when the J-dock Seafood Co. sent us a variety of their fresh fish to try.

J-dock Seafood Co. is a family owned and operated fish processing company and fresh Alaska seafood market located in Seward, Alaska.  Seward is a port town situated on the Resurrection Bay which gives them access to the finest wild Alaskan salmon, halibut, yellow eye, and ling cod, in addition to many other seafood resources.  

When I was reading about them, I thought it was so neat that Seward is listed on the New York Times' #1 Bestseller "1,000 Places To See Before You Die" list -- how neat -- I would love to visit someday!

We were so excited when our J-dock Seafood package arrived on our doorstep.  

When you order from J-dock you will receive the freshest fish shipped right to your doorstep.  Their fish is live-caught then processed immediately as soon as the boat pulls up to their dock.  It's then flash-frozen and shipped to you overnight via FedEx in special packaging so it arrives frozen and ready for you to enjoy.

They sent us Wild Alaskan Halibut, Wild Alaskan Shellfish (Scallops), Wild Alaskan Salmon and Wild Alaskan Smoked Lemon Pepper Salmon to try.

I will admit I am not the best chef, so what does a girl do when she receives fresh fish to cook?  That's right call her mom!  My mom is the best, she cooks for us all of the time and we were happy to share our fish with her and my dad if she cooked it for us!

She decided to grill the salmon and halibut in some limonato "lemon" olive oil...

and she did a great job!  It was honestly some of the best seafood we have ever had.  We've always bought seafood that you find at the  local grocery and this was so much better. It was moist, flaky and had amazing flavor. My parents, my husband and I absolutely loved the fish.

I really enjoyed all of it, but was excited to try the scallops as I had never had it before.  My mom pan fried them in olive oil and butter and they were delish!  I can't wait to have them again! Craig loved the lemon pepper salmon the best and my parents thought it was all good.  

We all really enjoyed the seafood that J-dock sent over for review.  If you are looking for the freshest fish then this is definitely the place you need to check out!!


 


Who would have thought that living here in Ohio (or anywhere in the world for that matter) that you could have fresh Alaskan seafood delivered to your doorstep overnight with just the click of a mouse.  I didn't know that was possible, but am sure glad I know now!
