2012 Holiday Gift Giving Guide & Giveaways - Cassie's Country Cupboard - Review and Giveaway ends on 12/03/2012...

CASSIE'S COUNTRY CUPBOARD
"Your Start to Homemade!"

Gift idea and give-a-way #11 is sponsored by Cassie's Country Cupboard.

This Thursday is Thanksgiving and Saturday is "Small Business Saturday" (--Shop small and support a local business in your area.)  With that being said I thought it would be the perfect time to introduce you all to Cassie's Country Cupboard, one of our local small businesses.

Cassie Menchhofer, owner of Cassie's Country Cupboard  started experimenting with make-ahead items that would save both time and money after having her first child.  After doing quite a bit of research, she found that a lot of the ingredients in prepackaged convenience foods were unnecessary and probably not what she would want to feed her family.

That's when Cassie's Country Cupboard began.  Cassie developed a line of handy pantry items that require only a few homemade touches and none of the "scary" ingredients (preservatives, MSG, artifical dyes) you can find in other products. She offers you dry mix goods such as cookies, breads, pancakes, and dip mixes to help you get a "head start to homemade"!

I was excited when she dropped off a gift basket full of item's perfect for the holiday season.

Included in the gift basket was: Pumpkin Cranberry Bread and Muffins ($6), Pumpkin Dip ($3), Mulled Wine and Cider Mix ($3) and Holiday Aromatic ($2).

The first product tried was the Pumpkin Cranberry Bread and Muffin Mix.  I decided to make muffins for the family.  These were so easy to make and sooooo good!  Added to the mix was canned pumpkin which made the muffins so moist. They had so much flavor.  We loved that they had chunks of cranberry in them.  The boys added some whipped cream to theirs and they were delish straight from the oven.

My favorite was the Pumpkin Dip. Simply add canned pumpkin and cream cheese to the mix and you have a dessert that won't last long.  We ate ours with graham crackers and it was seriously addicting.  I could have just ate it with a spoon, it was that good.  The boys loved this too.

Cassie also sent over the Mulled Wine and Cider mix to try.  I had a little get together on my birthday earlier this month and made the mulled wine.  Everyone loved it.  Simply add red wine to the spices and you have a warm treat.

She also sent a satchel of her Holiday Aromatic which made my house smell so good!  Thank you, Cassie!! :-)
