Spring Couture with the Macbeth Collection and great organizational tips from Macbeth founder, Margaret Josephs! Storage Bin Give-a-way too.......

To put the fun into this seasonal chore, start with a favorite spot in the home, mine is the closet! Nothing puts a spring in my step like packing away winter woolies and bringing back into rotation my treasured warm weather favorites.

The best way to make this task manageable is to break it down into three easy steps: OrganizeAccessorizeGlamorize

Organize – Start by making three piles… or for me three mountains!

Give Away / Donate: One woman’s trash is another woman’s treasure. Choose a charity close to your heart and you’ll be inspired to part with your pieces with more easily. My favorite is

Keep / Store: Keep it together! Packing away your items in an orderly manner will allow you to unpack in stages and start the next season right when the time comes. For example pack all cashmere together. Make sure every item is packed away clean and fresh and separate with tissue paper. Use a small sachet of Cloves, Lavender or Cedar to keep pesky moths at bay. Never store these items in an airtight container; they will need to breathe. Ensure you keep items in a clean and dry place.

Spell it out! Labeling is key and no one loves customized storage more than me. Mark every box with the contents and your name, I love to show monogram pieces and put pride into my closet. Have fun! The fashion can reflect the contents. Pick fun prints and mix & match your storage patterns.

    Repairs / Cleaning:
I was a dress designer before starting The Macbeth Collection and truly adore fashion and style. Over the years I have curated quite a collection of unique and eclectic pieces and taking care of them is key to their longevity. Use a cleaning specialist you trust and be sure to ask questions before treating special pieces.

Accessorize – Inexpensive additions can make you feel like a million bucks!

Make your closet feels fresh with simple pick me ups such as new hangers. I like to color code my items and use non-slip velvet hangers to ensure silky slips and evening wear stays in place.

Scented sachets and draw liners are another fun way to give tired closets a new lease of life. My favorite scent for spring/summer is our new coconut scent. It reminds me of long days at the beach. We carry these at

Glamorize - Your closet is a room in your house too, show it some love!

Bring some fun and whimsey to your life. As a little girl I loved to play dress up and my closet still provides an escape. By adding a chandelier and some vintage mannequin heads to display my jewelry, getting dressed truly feels like I am shopping my own little store. Bringing your own personality into the decor and display in your own closet will make staying organized feel fun and not like at all like a chore!

Happy O-A and G!
XO Margaret
