GoodNites Disposable Bed Mats Review and Give-a-way ends 03/13/2013...

TRUSTED NIGHTTIME PROTECTION

We were so excited to learn that a product we love was just named "2013 Product of the Year" in the Children's Category, that product? GoodNites Disposable Bed Mats.

If you have a bedwetter, a little one potty training or just a sick child then you will love the GoodNites Disposable Bed Mats. What it is is a disposable bed mat that actually adheres (safely) to your child's sheet ensuring whatever kind of mess might happen, you are guaranteed less cleanup, a cleaner bed and a more confident child knowing they don't have to be embarrassed if an accident happens.

We love the bed mats. Grady doesn't wet the bed unless he drinks tons before bed and let me tell you, he is quite the drinker. Pour him a glass of juice and I guarantee it will be gone before he ever touches his food and then he will want a refill too. It's crazy, but accidents are bound to happen once in awhile, drinker or not.

The GoodNites Bed Mats are the perfect solution, easing my mind of a huge messy cleanup in the middle of the night and Grady can go to bed feeling good knowing if an accident does happen... well, it's okay and mom and dad won't care as much knowing his bed is protected.

The bed mats are the perfect solution if you have a regular bedwetter. I was a bedwetter until I was about 12. My mom finally took me to the doctor and we got it treated, but there are many, many, many parent's out there (maybe you) who struggle with this every night. Every child is different and the solutions are not always that easy. Just know that you are not alone and help is available. My mom wishes they had a product like the GoodNites Bed Mats when I was little. She said she can't tell you how many times she or my dad was up in the night changing sheets. She said this would have saved her so much work and given her more hours of rest!

The GoodNites Disposable Bed Mats are a great product to have on hand when your little one gets the flu too. We went through this a few weeks ago and these are so nice to lay on the bed when puking and diarrhea happens. They really do make cleanup so much easier!

Nutrisystem weeks 22 and 18...

Wow, I was just telling you all that I had the flu and that I had hoped the sickness was over. Well I spoke too soon. A Dr's office visit, ER visit and an Urgent Care visit later I think we might all be on the rebound. First Jace was so sick with a bad cold, fever, cough etc... then he passed it on to me. I had the worst sinus pressure, sore throat and body aches I've ever had. Then little Grady man got it and he got it bad. He was sick for about 5 days and just not getting any better. If you know Grady he is so active, and all of the sickness got him down. So an antibiotic later, I think he is finally feeling better.

When you are on a plan like Nutrisystem  you don't think about getting sick, but once you are eating in general is just hard to think about. Honestly eating is the last think you think about when you are so sick yourself and trying to take care of your sick family. I didn't even have an appetite, it didn't help that I couldn't taste or smell anything for days.

Once you are on the rebound, you just have to think about nourishing your body back to health, little by little trying to gain your energy back. I was so thankful for Nutrisystem though because even though I was out of commission myhusband could still eat healthy, eat good food and he didn't need me doing a think for him! He said he is thankful for that too!

fibi & clo sandal review...

I don't know about you, but this girl is so ready for spring! With that being said I am so excited to introduce you all to a line of gorgeous hand sewn sandals called fibi and clo

fibi and clo was founded by husband and wife team Michael Leen and AnaLiza Alba. The line is named after the couple's cats...you guessed it Fibi and Clo. The couple launched their line in 2009 and it focuses on beautifully embellished sandals at an affordable price. Most items in the line are priced at $49.50 or less!

fibi and clo recently sent me their most popular style, the Cascade (shown above). The Cascade is available in several colors, but I couldn't resist this gorgeous Gold  pair!

I am in LOVE with my new fibi and clo sandals!! They are so pretty. The pictures don't even do them justice. They feature so much beading and are so sparkly.

They can be dressed up or paired with jeans and look fab either way. I can not wait until it gets a little warmer outside so that I can start wearing these!

Brand New Ivory 2-IN-1 Hair & Body Wash Review and Give-a-way ends on 03/07/2013...

Do you guys love 2-in-1 products?

If there is something 2-in-1 that will make my life and my family's life easier I'm all for it. That's why I am excited to share a new product with you from Ivory -- it's their brand new 2-IN-1 Hair and Body Wash

That's right, they've come up with a product that you can shampoo and condition your hair with, and also use to wash your whole body.

When I first heard about this product I immediately thought of my dad. He goes to a wholesale club and will buy a huge container of body wash and use it for everything. Maybe it's because he doesn't have much hair left in his old(er) age (shhhh don't tell him I told you that!!) or maybe he just likes to save money? I'm not sure, but I thought now there is a product made exactly for him and I'm sure he's not the only one who does this!

Ivory sent us two bottles of their new product so I gave him one and we kept one for ourselves. After trying it of course my dad and husband thought it was genius and the boys' got plenty of use out of it too.

I tried it and I will say that it's great for body wash and wasn't bad as a shampoo, but being a former hairstylist I can't get away from my professional shampoo and conditioner that I get at a discount anyways. Ivory's new 2-IN-1 Hair and Body Wash lathered good, but having colored treated, very thick, dry hair it just wasn't for me to use as a shampoo and conditioner. For a body wash though, it was great! Very moisturizing, great for shaving with and I'm still using it. The guys love it and we would definitely buy it in the future.

So back to my question "do you guys love or hate 2-in-1 products?"

How about these...

Yep, it's the 'Pajama Jean' --you all know you've all contemplated buying these. The jean you can sleep in and then roll out of bed and take your kids to school in them without ever changing clothes! Ha too funny... I'm thinking not so much!

Or how about the not-so-popular 'Spork'? You know you've used one before. You can go from eating your salad straight to enjoying your soup without ever having to change utensils, right? Again, not so much!

----------------------------------------------------

If you are looking to save space in your shower, shampoo, condition and wash your hair and body all in one step then Ivory's new 2-IN-1 Hair and Body Wash might be your next fave 2-in-1 product! The men in my life loved it and I would definitely use it to lather up with in the shower if I'm buying it for them anyways!

Ivory's 2-IN-1 Hair and Body Wash Features...

  • Dual-action formula that cleans head to toe in one simple step, and leaves hair conditioned.
  • Free of dyes and heavy perfumes.
  • Fewer bottles in the shower which means less waste and more space in your bathtub or shower.
  • Fewer products to purchase at the store, which means more money in your pocket and we ALL love that! (Awesome for husbands and kids to simplify their shower time!)

Magimix by Robot-Coupe 12-Cup Food Processor Review...

I was beyond excited when Magimix recently sent me their Magimix by Robot-Coupe Compact 3200 XL 12 Cup Food Processor and Juice Extractor and Smoothie Attachment to review.

Robot-Coupe is the French company that developed the very first food processor. They've applied the technology of their commercial models to this high-performance processor for home use. This versatile machine includes many components and accessories for a wide variety of uses.

Magimix by Robot-Coupe Food Processor's are fully manufactured and handmade in Burgandy, France and are guaranteed for 30 years!

-----------------------------------------------------------

- REVIEW -

If you love to cook or are just looking to make life easier in the kitchen while prepping and preparing meals then you have to check out Magimix's line of Food Processors. They have several different sizes --  the 3200 XL 12 Cup (like I received), the 4200 XL 14 Cup and their biggest 5200 XL 16 Cup Food Processor.

As soon as the our new food processor arrived I couldn't wait to try it out. It came with so many attachments...

12 Cup Food Processor includes:

6-cup, 10-cup and 12-cup mixing bowls.

2 metal Sabatier blades, one for small bowl, and one for medium and large bowls.

Dough blade.

2 grating discs.

2 slicing discs.

Blender Mix attachment.

Egg whisk.

Spatula.

Recipe book and DVD.

Storage box.

When this showed up on our doorstep I didn't realize all of the things you could do with a food processor --Slice Veggies, Grate Cheese, Mince Herbs, Blend Sauces, Chop Nuts, Mix Batters, Knead Dough, Juice Fruits and so much more.

I couldn't wait to start using it and put it to good use right away. I wanted to start off with something easy just to get used to the appliance and decided to make a 'Strawberry Milkshake' out of the recipe book included with the processor.

It was so easy to use and made the shake so creamy. I did have a little mishap and over flowed the bowl because I used the wrong size. Even with making a mess on the first try, it still turned out great. The boys loved the shake and had fun watching the machine work its magic!

Can you tell they couldn't wait to be my little taste testers...

Next I made an Au Gratin Potato recipe. You can not believe how easy it was for the processor to slice the potatoes.

I pealed them and then put them into the processor and it sliced the potatoes into perfect, thin pieces.

The recipe turned out so good and I loved how quick and easy it sliced the potatoes. I've since sliced several veggies and within seconds you have perfect slices.

It was delicious...

Next the boys begged me to make sugar cookies. I thought could this machine really mix the thick dough? Again it did the job and did it well. You just can't imagine how quiet this food processor is and how powerful it is too. It mixed all of my batter together. I couldn't believe how well it blended all of the ingredients.

The boys' were in heaven with the finished cookies!

Last, but not least I couldn't wait to try out the Juice Extractor and Smoothie Attachment they sent as an added bonus!

If you are looking to get healthier this year or just love making homemade smoothies or fresh fruit juice then you will LOVE this attachment for the processor.

This attachment allows you to put large pieces of fruit, skin and all into it and it juices the fruit and separates the pulp, giving you fresh, all-natural juice.

I am always trying to incorporate more natural, fresh food into our diets and wasn't sure if the boys would like it. I used carrots, pineapple and strawberries the first time and they loved it. They could't even tell that the carrots were in it.

Jace, our oldest wants me to make him fresh juice all of the time now. We've used all kinds of fruits and veggies and each time the juice extractor works great.

We have honestly used our new Magimix by Robot-Coupe Food Processor so much. It has made the work in the kitchen so much easier. From slicing whole potatoes to grating a block of cheese it is so powerful and gets the job done quickly and easily.

It's a fun product that I would highly recommend. If you love being in the kitchen and want to simplify your work then you have to check out all of the Food Processers and other products that Magimix as to offer! They are definitely top of the line in my opinion!!

How to stay on track with Nutrisytem while traveling...

This week we took a few days for our family. We went to Great Wolf Lodge and then to Monster Jam. We honestly had so much fun as a family, but traveling makes staying on track even more difficult. The Nutrisystem plan makes it easy for you. Their food is so portable, can be microwaved in the hotel room and their breakfast, lunch and dinner bars are so conveinent when not at home.

I know I've mentioned it before, but a lot eating right is not only eating healthy foods, but also watching your portion sizes. It was so nice being able to grab a bar out of our bag when we were hungry at the waterpark. Once you are in your swimsuit, leaving to find something healthy is hardly an option. The boys ate food from the little snack huts and Craig and I had Nutrisystem bars that we stashed in our bag. They also had a Starbucks at the resort so we had non-fat latte's and they were great with our bars.
We did end up eating at their buffet for breakfast and we found many healthy options. Tons of fresh fruit, they would make you any kind of egg you wanted so we had egg whites along with our fruit. We packed bottles of water to bring with us too, as they can be expensive to purchase when traveling.
It's not as hard as you might think to stay on track while out and about. Give yourself plenty of time to look over a menu or grab a paper menu to go so that you can check it over and know what you are ordering even before arriving to the restaurant of choice!
Also, take advantage of the hotels fitness facility. Most of them have gym or workout room and this will definitely help you even if you did indulge a little while on vacation!
I have stayed the same with my weight lately, which I'm fine with, but Craig is continuing to lose. Here are our most recent numbers...
