The Cafe Pro from Capresso is the ultimate Mother's Day Gift for the espresso lover in your life!

If your mom loves espresso and cappuccino I have the ultimate Mother's Day Gift idea from Capresso.
I love, love, love going to Starbucks and getting my favorite drink, but let's face it it can get expensive and when I'm craving a little extra caffeine for the day at home I don't always have the time to drop what I'm doing and run out to get one.
With the Café Pro from Capresso I can now make my own at home and what a fun gift idea for the espresso lover in your life! The Café Pro is a commercial grade professional espresso and cappuchino machine that will have you brewing barista style drinks in no time.
I wasn't sure how easy this would be to use being a commercial grade / professional quality product, but after using it for a few weeks I'm so glad that I gave it a try. This machine comes with 2 different filter options that allow coffee lovers at any skill level to prepare café-quality drinks. The heavy duty double spout filter is designed for beginners and is convenient and easy to use allowing you to make 1 or 2 espressos at a time without having to perfect the tamp or grind size of your espresso.
For the expert home brewer and those looking to improve their barista skills, the bottomless espresso filter lets you perfect your drink based on the pressure in the sieve which is built up based on grind size and tamp producing a richer, thicker crema and a hotter brew to improve the coffee's taste.
This all may sound complicated, but it's actually really easy to use. Fill the water tank just like you would a normal coffee pot. Add your espresso and let brew. If you love foamed or steamed milk for a cappuccino or latte then the commercial style power frother works great. Simply add milk to a stainless steel  pitcher and let the powerful steam froth it.
Add your favorite syrup, espresso and frothed milk together and within minutes you'll have your favorite drink mixed up. I love that I can buy my favorite brands espresso and syrup to make these drinks at home. I'll admit that it's not exactly the barista style drink I would pay $5 for, but without any formal training it's pretty darn close and I love how convenient it is to have any time I need a latte!
Craig and I have used it so much already and what a fun machine to have when guests come over! I'm not a huge fan of plain coffee, so being able to froth the milk and add syrup and my favorite caramel drizzle is so much fun!
I love this machine and the Capresso Iced Tea Maker that I featured a few weeks ago. Both would make awesome gifts this Mother's Day or treat yourself and have mom over for a drink perfected by you. I'm sure she'd love you either way!

Make moms time in the kitchen fun and easy this Mother's Day with a well-designed, high quality and functional product from frieling...

The Jackson Five Family received a complimentary product sample to help facilitate this feature. However, all opinions are honest and our own!
If your mom loves to cook and entertain then she'll appreciate a gift from Frieling fresh solutions this Mother's Day. For over 25 years Frieling has been dedicated to developing and sourcing functional and well-designed products of the highest quality for home and kitchen use.

Frieling offers a huge selection of products --everything from wine and bar accessories, to the perfect french press for the coffee and tea lover to the highest quality cookware and bake ware. Make moms job easier in the kitchen this year with a gift from

My mom loves to cook and we eat there several times a week so when I had the chance to try out WOLL Cookware Diamond Plus Fry Pan w/Lid, 9 1/2" dia from the Frieling website I had to let her be the first to try it with her pizza burger recipe that she wanted to share with you today! It's a family favorite that everyone loves and a quick, super easy weekday meal.
Pizza Burgers
1 lb lean hamburger
1 jar of pizza or tomato sauce
salt, pepper and oregano (spice to liking)
1 bag mozzarella cheese
4 or 5 buns --top and bottoms make 8-10 burgers!
Fry the hamburger until brown, drain and return to pan. Then mix your pizza or tomato sauce, add salt, pepper and oregano to your liking and stir until completely mixed together. Let everything simmer together with the lid on for a few minutes until the sauce warms.
Split your buns apart and put them on a pan, insides facing up. Top the half buns with the hamburger mixture and then add the mozzarella cheese on top of each one. Place on the top rack and broil until the cheese is melted and slightly brown.
It's such a simple recipe, but one that even the pickiest of eaters will love --enjoy!
My mom loves the WOLL Cookware Diamond Plus Fry Pan. I've used it several times making everything from asparagus to my fave portabella mozzarella Panini and it's awesome.  I let my grandma who loves to cook us breakfast try it and we she wants one for herself. She's used many pans over the years (she's 80!!) and she said she's never used one like this!
WOLL cookware is definitely an investment, but after using it I can tell you it's totally worth it. WOLL products are individually made in Germany and cast by hand using their original aluminum casting process, and a unique cutting and abrasion resistant hard base coating to ensure the best cooking results for a long time.
I can already tell this pan will never get that icky black stuff in the bottom that you have to scrape off. Everything just slips and slides in the high-quality non-stick coating making it look brand new after using. It is dishwasher safe, but you really only need hot water and a little detergent to clean it and it's in perfect condition again. I love how easy this makes cooking. Cleanup is one of the worst parts of cooking for me and with the pan coming so clean there is no scrubbing making it a breeze. WOLL cookware distributes the heat and stores it particularly well --which means you can keep the temperature turned down and save energy too. Another win for this pan!

Mom's love being in the kitchen so why not making her job easier with a high quality product from Frieling this Mother's Day!

Lysol® Partners With Ali Larter To Help Parents Create A Healthy "Social Network" For Their Babies

The Jackson Five Family received a complimentary product sample to help facilitate this feature. However, all opinions are honest and our own!

Lysol has partnered with mother of two and actress, Ali Larter to help raise awareness of the networks you and your baby are unknowingly growing on a daily basis. Ali jokingly stated that her daughter has a bigger social network than she does... except that it's not on Instagram or Twitter, it's a germ network --gross #LYSOLTHAT
It's no big secret that babies love to touch things --believe it or not young children can touch and re-touch more than 300 surfaces in a matter of just 30 minutes and many of them are common items like TV remotes, shoes and cell phones.
To help educate new parents across the country about germs, Ali has come up with several tips to create a healthier environment, while still letting baby's curiosity thrive.

  • Understand the Size of Your Baby’s Social Network. “Recently, I learned that my baby’s social network is bigger than my own. I’m not talking about Twitter, or Instagram ... but the number of germs that she comes into contact with every day. It’s important to be aware of these “followers” and to kick them out of the home by disinfecting commonly touched surfaces with products that kill 99.9% of germs like Lysol Disinfecting Wipes so you can have peace of mind and focus on the fun parts of being a new parent!”
  • Create a Germ Free Runway. “My kids’ curiosity and desire to explore is high these days. Whether they are crawling, playing, or running around, they’re constantly coming into contact with the floors in our house. One of the simplest ways to help create a healthier runway for their play is to keep germs at a minimum outside and have guests take off their shoes before entering the home.”
  • Know when to disinfect. “In addition to regularly disinfecting commonly touched surfaces, it’s important to disinfect areas after making a mess. When I’m cooking with my kids, and we accidentally break raw eggs on the counter, that’s a mess that needs to be cleaned up and disinfected! Raw eggs are at risk of housing bacteria that cause foodborne illnesses, which is definitely something a mom wants to avoid.”

As a mom of two boys I know how germy a house can get and I love the line of products from Lysol that can help keep germs away. From Lysol Disinfecting Sprays to Disinfecting Wipes to their newer Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap Dispensers it's a brand of products I trust and always have on hand to keep our house clean!

Bringing Up Baby: Costs & Habits Of The American Mom from

The Jackson Five Family received a complimentary gift card to help facilitate this feature. However, all opinions are honest and our own!

In celebration of moms this Mother’s Day, one of my favorite online retailer's, is honoring new moms nationwide by taking a closer look at something we can all relate to –budgeting for all things baby!

Here are some survey insights they found regarding spending and saving habits when preparing for baby:

  • With annual childcare costs hovering around $6,000, it’s crucial to choose (and pay!) the right person to watch your kids. In our survey Julia Roberts was voted the top celeb moms would let babysit, but Kim Kardashian didn’t make the cut and was only selected by 3% of respondents.

  • Raising kids can get pretty pricey, so it’s no surprise a third of mothers surveyed said they’d compete in a monthly random dance battle (32%) in exchange for free baby gear, attire, etc.

  • Almost half of mothers surveyed (45%) said the most missed pre-mom indulgence is actually having a day off.

  • 33% of moms agreed that the most common squabble couples have regarding new parenting is about money.

I love the fabulous deals I find on zulily and love that they are dedicated to bringing moms like you and me deals for a new baby and the whole family no matter how old your kids are! Whether I'm looking for the latest fashions, home goods or a fun baby shower gift, zulily has it all and I love their affordable prices!

Here's a breakdown of some of the things zulily has helped new moms save money on:

  • Savings on baby blankets: over $2.4M

  • Total savings on key items needed to set up a nursery: over $2.6M

  • Savings on all baby feeding supplies: over $4.5M

With incredible savings like these make sure you check out or hop on the zulily app every morning to discover new finds, especially on Mother's Day this year --May 8th for their Mom First event where you'll find awesome deals on everything a new mama wouldn't want to be without!

Hexagon Metal Prints make a great Mother's Day gift this year --Save 25 percent with discount code!

The Jackson Five Family received a complimentary product sample to help facilitate this reader feature. However, all opinions are honest and our own!

A few weeks ago I featured the new Hexagon shaped Metal Print from AdoramaPix as a neat Mother's Day gift idea this year. I loved the shape and the idea and couldn't wait until mine came in.

It arrived and I love how it turned out! You send AdoramaPix a the photo of your choice and they infuse your image right into the surface of a solid sheet of metal, the result of their process is a rich iridescent sheen, bright vivid colors, and a life-line depth of detail that can't be matched by conventional paper prints. They are durable, can be cleaned with glass cleaner and are a modern accessory for your home to show off your favorite memories!

What's really cool about the Hexagon Metal Print is that you get to choose how you want to display it when ordering. You can choose magnets on the back so that you can display it on your refrigerator, an easel to display in on your desk as a traditional frame would sit, a wall float mount so that you can hang it up, an acrylic pedestal for a modern look on your desk or no fixture at all. I chose the magnets and love how it looks on the fridge.

I can also set it up against something if I want to display it somewhere else or hang it on any other metal surface. It really turned out great!

Metal Prints are such a fun gift idea this Mother's Day. Give your mom a print of your family, the grandkids or her favorite pet and it's something she will cherish forever!

Mommy-hood is life’s greatest balancing act, it gets harder when you realize Sick just got real™ #SickJustGotReal #AMomCanDream $25 Giveaway...

The video and gift card have been provided by Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. All thoughts and reviews are my own.

Between over-packed schedules and playdates, sticky messes and scraped knees, late nights and early morning wakeup calls, we as parents have been through it all. Somedays it may seem the minute you even start thinking about a little “me” time, disaster strikes, and that’s only when everyone in the household is healthy! Add a sick little one to the mix and nothing else seems to matter.

There is nothing worse than your own child being sick. It's a helpless feeling that most parents have experienced. I've been there and feeling like there is nothing you can do to help your child feel better is exhausting and can make you feel defeated. No matter how much you do to prevent sickness, sometimes life just happens #sickjustgotreal.

Be prepared the next time your child gets sick with well-known, trusted brands on hand like Children's Advil®, Children's Robitussin®, and Children's Dimetapp®. Having these products available the minute an icky symptom shows up will make everyone in your home feel better.

If my kids are happy, I'm happy!

Sharing a few of my mommy-hood moments --life's greatest balancing act!

#AMomCanDream about everything being perfect with kids, but things are going to happen. Things you don't like, things you wished never happened and things you hope never, ever happen again!

Let me share a few mine today...

One of the worst moments of illness was when I was pregnant with Grady. Jace was only a few years old and I was probably 8 months pregnant and we both came down with the flu.  I remember him puking in our bed, trying to help Craig get everything cleaned up and the next thing we knew I was puking too. As if being pregnant with a sick kid wasn't enough I had to get it. A trip to the ER, a big shot later to make me stop puking and we were all on the mend. That's a mommy-hood moment that I'll never forget and pray never happens again!

This mommy-hood memory isn't really about sickness, but an accident we'll always remember. We took the boys to a hotel and to a train museum when Grady was probably only 2, and Jace 4. We were in the hotel and Grady needed his pants changed.  He was still pretty small, but walking and Craig was behind him (Grady standing up) and as Craig was trying to pull Grady's pants up with him standing, Grady flipped forward and hit his head on the dresser. He had a decent gash and as we've learned over the years the head always bleeds more than other body parts it seems like. We freaked out seeing so much blood gushing from his head and were frantically running down the hall to get towels and to see where the nearest ER was and Craig was saying "Oh my gosh, I didn't mean to, I didn't mean to" It had to look and sound like Craig beat him or did  something to cause the bleeding lol, but we were just young and super panicked and it's such a funny story now looking back.

As parents we aren't perfect. There is no such thing as perfect parenting. All you can do is live and learn and realize that kids grow so fast! One last story when the boys were little.... We were on vacation and at a really big hotel that had 8 or 10 floors. The boys could both walk and would run down the hallways. They loved being the first one on and off the elevator and pushing the button. I don't remember if we were getting on or getting off, but Jace was on when we were all off and the door shut! He was probably only 4 or 5 I would say and stuck in the elevator by himself and there were tons of floors. I was screaming saying Jace stay on the elevator as Craig was frantically trying to run the hotel stairs to each floor hoping the door would open and he could get him. Luckily there were some very sweet ladies who could hear me yelling and stayed with him when until the elevator got to our floor again. Talk about scary at the time and again, it's such a funny story now.

Our boys' are 8 and 10 and those memories all see so far away.  As parents we have all had those moments where we've felt like we failed,  felt like we had no idea what we were doing and wished we had the answers to make our kids feel better no matter the situation. The older I get the more I realize that I'm not alone and you're not alone in this journey we call life and parenthood.  Things will NOT always be perfect, our kids WILL get sick and there WILL be accidents. We all have stories of the good, the bad and the down right ugly and you just have to make the best of a situation when it arises and laugh later!

We know life can be hard especially when your child is sick. We've teamed up with Pfizer and would love to give you a chance to win a $25 Visa gift card. Use it to pamper yourself or to stock your medicine cabinet up so the next time your child is sick you'll be prepared!
