Last year we had the opportunity to go to our very first Sesame Street Live show. My boys LOVED the show so much and I have to admit, my husband and I enjoyed it too.

Sesame Street Live is a larger-than-life, musical touring stage production featuring Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Bert and Ernie...and more! Each performance is 90 minutes of singing, dancing and audience participation, including a 15-minute intermission. The perfect length for very young children!

Cattiva Cosmetics Eye Liner Review and Anniversary Facebook Give-a-way contest...

I recently received my first item for review from Cattiva Cosmetics. I received the Cattiva Waterproof, Anti-Aging Pricisione Eye Liner $20. I love eye liner, it's something that I wear on a daily basis so when I was able to try this one out I was excited. I love that when you receive an item from Cattiva they are individually wrapped and tied with a red bow - love the special touch!

This eyeliner is fortified with hyaluronic acid and vitamins to fight the effects of aging. Just knowing that before trying it is a plus for me - anything to help fight aging and to help me stay looking young is a plus in a product! I also really liked that this eyeliner is waterproof, so once it's on I don't have to worry about it wearing off, smudging and it should last all day.

Another plus for me is that it is a retractable. I prefer a retractable liner over one that I have to sharpen. So I put the liner to the test. First and foremost when looking for a liner it's very important that it goes on smooth and easy, which it did. It's very easy to apply and after wearing it now for about a week I can honestly say that it goes on black and stays black all day. It doesn't run or budge, just goes on smooth, dark and in a clean precise line.

I am currently reviewing the Cattiva Tutto Giorno Mineral Quad Eye Shadow in Capri (shown above) and will show you a picture of me wearing it along with the eyeliner in the next few days.... stay tuned for that review!!

We are going to show you guys new "Places to Go" every once in awhile. We love to travel, even if it's just a little weekend get away and it's always fun to see new places! We just had our very 1st "Places To Go" opportunity and it was at...

Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, OH is home to the LARGEST indoor waterpark in the US with a state of the art convention center, great accommodations - an unbelievable 890 guestrooms and suites, family activities, tranquil spa treatments, fabulous family dining experiences and so much more!

We had the opportunity to spend one night at this resort and we couldn't have been any more excited. Upon arrival we were amazed at how big and how gorgeous this place was! The boys couldn't wait to undress, get their suits on and explore America's largest indoor waterpark that is an amazing 173,000 square foot!

Before heading to the waterpark though we had to check out our room and take some pictures together on the balcony, which looked over the outdoor waterpark (shown above, which is not open this time of year) and then it was time for bathing suits and a waterpark dance, ha...

they were not excited at all...not even a little...ha ha

The waterpark was so much fun - there is something to do for all ages. There is pool basketball, tube slides, racing slides, a few slides that shoot you to the outside of the resort and then back in...

there is a huge fort to climb with water shooting out everywhere, a kiddie area with tunnels, mini slides, and baby swings, leap pads to climb across, swim up bars, an indoor/outdoor hot tub, a lazy river and a wave pool.

Not only is there so much to do inside the waterpark, but there are so many more neat features to the resort! If you are hungry and don't want to interrupt your water adventure you can grab a bite to eat/drink at the Zulu Grille, Safari Snacks or the Mud Hut.

Maybe your whole family is coming and the kids want to play and the adults want to hang out and watch their favorite sports team - don't worry you can rent your own private cabana or bungalow where you can lounge around your own big screen tv!

There are lockers to rent right inside the waterpark to put your belongings, life jackets for the kids to use, complimentary pool towels (must be returned before exiting the park), huge bathrooms with showers, changing areas, restrooms and hair dryers all for your convenience.

The waterpark is not the only activity at the resort - there are so many other things to do to keep your family entertained! We all loved the Tree Top Play Area which is a jungle themed indoor playground that features a colorful maze of climbing areas, crawl-through tubes and balls galore. You can actually load the balls into things like cannons and then shoot them out. We had a blast in this free area.

Another favorite area of the resort was the Big Game Room - which is one of Ohio's largest arcades. You can play games, win tickets and then redeem them for exciting prizes!

You can also enjoy Savannah Strike Bowling and Madagascar Mini Black Light Golf which is located in the arcade. The boys absolutely loved playing both!

We were so busy doing other things that we didn't have time to take part in the exciting guest activities, many which are free to guests. Some of these activities include - Arts and Crafts, Cookie Decorating, Kalahari Karaoke and Story Time. The day we were there Story Time was hosted by Miss Vacationland 2012, Layne Schneider, who will be competing for Miss Ohio in June. We walked by when she was reading and it was so cute seeing the little girls and boys sitting around her listening to her read a book while wearing her crown. She was also signing autograph's, so neat!

If your kids love pottery you definitely want to stop by Pottery Pizzazz and create a piece of artwork that you can take home with you!

If you have time to get away from the kids ( oh how I wish!) you might enjoy SPA Kalahari - where you can relax with a massage, body treatment, manicure or even a new hair style. They offer so many services and are open from 9am - 9pm so maybe, just maybe you could sneak in a little "you" time before the kids get up or after they are in bed.. (really though what kid is going to go to bed early or sleep in at this awesome place, so you might have to just beg your spouse to watch the kids for an hour!!)

There is no reason to leave and grab a bite to eat when you can enjoy fun, family dining at The Reserve at Kalahari or at the Great Karoo. Grab a fresh coffee or a homemade pastries at Java Manjaro

or enjoy ice cream or a caramel apple at the Candy Hut!

If you want pizza you can always go to Cafe Mirage which is conveniently located near the arcade!

For your convenience there is shopping at Kalahari too. Whether you want the newspaper, forgot to pack swim diapers, or just want a keepsake t-shirt they have a shop that has it!

Last but not least Kalahari has a Safari Outdoor Adventure Park located out past the outdoor waterpark. I'm so sad that we didn't have to check it out. Maybe we will have to plan a summer trip and make sure that we include this part. The park includes Zip Lining, Climbing Walls, Rope Courses AND Safari Adventures Animal Park where you can take a ride on a camel, have your picture taken with a giraffe and learn about the the various animals in the animal exhibits. I know the boys would have loved this part of the resort.

Over all we had an absolute blast! We love the African theme throughout - our room was wonderful, the waterpark was full of lifeguards to ensure the safety of our children, the activities were so much fun and the service was great. At midnight we decided to make some popcorn before we headed to bed and our microwave would not work... we called the front desk and they sent a maintenance man up right away. It was fixed in minutes and he was happy to do it!

When we were entering the waterpark we decided to rent a locker and I opened my wallet and some of my cards fell out...I thought I had them all picked up and I actually left one behind (yes so scary, I know!) well not even 10 minutes after we were into the waterpark I heard my name paged over the loud speaker. The kind people at the waterpark check-in counters had found it and paged me up there so they could return it to me! Thank you, thank you, thank you is all i could say!

The only negative that we can see is that we didn't get to spend more time there. Honestly this is a place where you could spend a whole week and not get bored. One day was fun, but not nearly enough time to explore everything and take advantage of all the activities and amenities offered at the resort!

They sent my husband a Men's LS Ace Zip which is available in 2 colors - Monsoon/Black and Planet/Splash like he is wearing in the above picture.

First it has a Baacode in it so we had to trace it right away! This is what it said "Out of 120 sheep stations, the fibre in your garment has been traced back to the following group of stations" 1. Otematata Station 2. Lake Heron Station or 3. Mount Nicolas Station Then you can click on each station and learn so much information about the places where the merino lives and it's wool came from. I especially loved watching the video's about the family who owned the farm and hearing their accents - so neat!

The 1st product was the Repechage Perfect Skin Liquid Foundation with SPF 12. I don't know about you guys but a good base for the rest of my makeup is essential. Yes I like to look natural but my skin is definitely not perfect so a product that makes it look better always helps.

I am loving these new Yoga videos. I have come to really love Yoga and never realized how many different poses and kinds there were. After doing these I have felt sore, so I know my muscles are getting worked really good. I love the way it stretches my body and I am really starting to feel stronger too. Doing Yoga is my time to concentrate and really have me time. I have been doing a different workout each morning after I get Jace on the bus and while Grady is still sleeping.

They are so convenient -I love being able to do Yoga in my living room and I really like how flexible each one is. Whether I have just 20 minutes or a full hour I know that I can pick one of these and get the perfect workout in!

Have you all been able to get out in play in the snow or ski this year? We have had unbelievably warm temperatures here. Usually it's 0 below in January, but these last few weeks it's been in the 40's and even hit 50 a few days! It's just crazy, it feels more like spring than winter as we are not used to this in January but I'm loving it. However, for those of you that love to ski this weather isn't to good for you. We have a ski resort about 40 minutes away and I've followed their Facebook Page and they are just praying and praying for some cold temperature and some snow fall.

1. We love the "I-Grow" Sleeve and Pant Cuff System. The sleeve cuffs and pant cuffs actually become longer if you want them to! If you have a pair of the pants they can become 2" longer and the cuff's on this jacket and others with the system can become 11/2" longer if need be! Love that as we know all kids are going to grow...stretch your dollar just a little bit farther - so neat!

2. It also features mitten clips, love that as my kids are always losing them! This way they won't as they will be clipped on.

3. We love the mood changer on the zipper - there are different faces that you rotate to show your mood. Grady's is usually on the mad or sad face ha ha! Too cute and such a fun addition to the jacket!

We also think the working compass is so cool!

4. It features an inside "goodie" pocket

5. We love that it features soft fleece lined cuffs, fleece ear warmers in the hood, fleece inside collar and chin protector and a removable hood w/auto adjust safety design.

6. We also really like that it has reflective piping on the back, a ski pass D-ring and an adjustable interior waist drawcord so that you can wear it unconstructed for a "new school" look or cinched at the waist for an "old school" look!

Overall we are just in love with this jacket. It's insulated very well and offers so many "extras" and most coats don't even compare to it. It is very well constructed and we know that it is going to last a long time all while keeping our little guy warm! The madras print is just so preppy and looks adorable on our little guy. I would HIGHLY recommend Obermeyer products after reviewing them ourselves!

Zillionz sent us their Real-Money Deluxe Savings Goal ATM Machine. This is so fun and easy for our 6 year old to use. This product teaches your child the concept of how a real ATM works. It comes with an ATM card that your child will use with a pin number that they create and have to remember just like if they were to use a real ATM machine.

After they have created this you are able to set the time and date on the screen. They then can start making deposits into it. The coin slot recognizes the value of each coin and it automatically adds up the amount entered. There is also an automatic bill feeder that accepts real dollars. You do have to enter the amount like if it's a $1 bill or a $5 bill but they think it's so neat feeding the money into the slot. This is so much neater than any piggy bank we have ever had.

What's really neat though is that your child is able to set a goal. Maybe they want a new bike or some other toy - well they can put how much it costs and what date they would like to have this amount by. Then it will tell them how much more they need when they put money in it and how much time is left to get to their goal!

It is a secure vault allowing your child to keep their money safe -- only they have access with their private digital access code. Another neat thing about this is that you can stand it up or you can hang it on the wall with it's built-in wall mount.

WE love that this is teaching our children how to save money and how to make deposits and withdraws. Something that we all use on a daily basis and something they need to learn about at an early age as saving money is so important and you can NEVER start too young! The only thing my husband and I wish this had is a drawer or something to catch the money in. It's just an open drawer that the money falls into, so when you open the drawer to make a withdraw all of the money just comes tumbling out if it's full. Other than that we love this and would definitely recommend it to anyone with children learning to save money!

Oh my do I love this outfit on my little guy! The jeans are just too cool - they feature a distressed denim color, leather frayed cross pockets and fleur-de-lis buttons. The jacket is also so cute, it features thick black embroidery, shiny black crest buttons and a zip out removable hood.

I was very excited when Miche sent me a one of their bags to review, so let me show you what I received...

First, when you are deciding on a Miche Bag for purchase you get to pick out which base you want.

There are many different sizes ranging from the Petite to the Prima like I received below...

The Prima Base Bag is 5" (wide) x 15"(long) x 12" (tall). Handles pictured come with the bag and are 20" long, with a 10" handle drop. Features two small interior open pockets, one medium open pocket, one large zippered pocket, four credit card slots and two pen holders.

After you pick out your base bag that's when the real fun begins! You then get to pick out your "Shell" the cover to your base purse, there are so many FUN styles to choose from. Miche sent me 2 different shells to review and I am in love with both!

This first one is called the Laurie - I love, love, love this bag. What's so great about the Laurie is that it can be used as both a purse with straps over your shoulder or you can turn it into a backpack. By quickly and easily attaching the straps in different locations you can go from a purse, to a hands free backpack which is great when you have kids, are walking across campus or when you are out shopping. There are so many compartments in this bag making it great for anyone who wants to stay organized. I also love the fun gun metal grey color!

The next bag that I reviewed is the Adrianna. What I love most about this bag is the gorgeous dual-textured printed faux leather and the glossy red color. It's just a pretty bag that goes with about anything. The red is very deep and looks great with so many colors - it's great for the holidays right now too!

Over all I love my new Miche Base Bag with the 2 shells that I received. I LOVE how convenient it is to switch bags without actually switching the contents! I have a new purse within seconds - if you've never had a Miche now is the perfect time to purchase one of these for yourself or add one to your "wishlist"!

First they sent us 3 of their totally cool (as the boys said!) LED Watches. 2 for the little guys (red and blue) and one for my husband (black). These watches really are so neat - the large LED screen is able to display the time, date and minutes just by pressing the side buttons. The screen will illuminate for 5 seconds before turning back to black.

What we love about these is that they are unisex - there are 12 fun colors to choose from: orange, red, black, white, yellow, lime, green, teal, blue, violet, pink and fluo. They come in 4 sizes: small, medium, large and extra large so one is sure to fit your wrist! The soft silicone band is ultralight and very comfortable to wear. You will also love that these are water resistant.

Another fun thing about these watches is that you can customize them with LED Covers! They sent 2 for the boys which they loved! We received a Football (soccer here in the USA) one and a Jets one. The boys absolutely loved these...now if they could only tell time :)

The next 2 products they sent were their Classic IMAZINE multi-functional Ion Sports Watches - these watches are designed to the highest quality and engeineering standards and feels comfortable on the wrist under any conditions. IMAZINE Ion Sports watch is mixed with a naturally occurring mineral Tourmaline, which is widely used as a semi-precious gemstone, responsible for many beneficial health effects like: Increased concentration, Improved sleep, Relaxation, Meditation, Natural detoxification of the body and Improved vitality and movement.

I am in love with this watch...what I love the most is that they also have interchangeable covers! They sent us 1 of their Sworovski covers in green. This picture doesn't do the Sworovski crystals justice! In person they seriously sparkle, I am definitely purchasing more of these in the future!

Oh my goodness our 6 year old went crazy over this car. He loved all of the flashing lights that lit up to the cool music. He has played with this so much and has had so much fun showing it off. As if the lights and music were not cool enough he also loved that it actually drives forwards and backwards

The next item we were sent to review was a Road Rippers Wheelie Monsters truck - where wheelie power and monster trucks collide! Realistic monster motor sounds, arena rockin’ songs and motorized driving with the iconic monster truck wheelie action. (Recommended for ages 3+)

Our 3 year old was so excited when I showed him his new Wheelie Monsters truck. He loved that it actually went up on the back wheels and drove across the floor doing a pop-a-wheelie. Both boys actually thought that it was "pretty awesome" that it could do that! Grady loved that it played music and was such a big, fun truck to play with! I love that these come in 4 different styles: Bigfoot, Snake Bite, Raminator and Rammunition so we can add more to our collection! (Just maybe they will be getting more of these for Christmas...wink, wink!)

Capresso Review...

As the holidays are quickly approaching and you are having more get togethers at your house, wouldn't it be nice to be able to whip up the perfect drink for your guests? Well I have a product that will do just that from...

Capresso recently sent me one of their Capresso Froth Pro's ($59.99) for review. So what is a froth pro you ask? It's designed to create thick and rich frothed milk for cappuccinos, steamed milk for café lattes, and frothy hot chocolate, the new Capresso froth PRO automatic milk frother produces professional quality results with a quick touch of a button.

It features 3 temperature settings – hot, warm and cold which will open up a variety of options for delicious beverages with a creative touch. This stand-alone appliance is an ideal complement to any coffee maker, espresso machine or the hot chocolate lover!

The unit features a black pitcher along with a black base with stainless steel accents and illuminated touch pad buttons. The smart design includes dual auto shut-off for safety and a storage compartment in the bottom of the base to hold the two frothing discs and one heating disc that come with the unit.

We were so excited to try our Capresso froth PRO out so we went to the Capresso Blog for some inspiration and recipes. The first drink we came across was this Maple Steamer...

This was so easy to make and was done in minutes. It called for just 2 ingredients, 8 oz of milk and 1-2 oz of maple syrup.

For this recipe you used the heating disk with the Capresso froth PRO. You just added the milk to frothing pitcher, placed the lid on it and pressed the Warm button. After just 2 minutes you added the maple syrup, replaced the lid and waited for the frother to automatically shut off which took a few more minutes.

This is what we got, a warm delicious drink that was frothy and the perfect temperature for my 6 year old! He actually loved this drink and we have made it several times since. So simple to make and so good to drink!

We then had to try our hand at Hot Coco (well really warm coco for the boys!)

Again this was so easy to make and turned out wonderful! Both boys loved it and again it was the perfect temperature not too hot and not too cold! I love that for Craig and I we can put it on the hot button to make ours and then the warm for them.

We absolutely love this little machine! If you are looking for a way to make quick, extremely easy drinks that look like you spent hours brewing then the Capresso froth Pro is just for you! If you can believe it there are actually many things you can use a milk frother for...

- Milk Frother Uses -

Frothed and steamed milk are the base for a variety of specialty coffee beverages as well as the base for delicious and creamy hot chocolate, however there are even more uses for the milk frother in addition to hot beverages.

In any recipe that calls for milk, warm the milk in the frother first to help incorporate powdered ingredients faster and speed up the cooking process.
Use the frother to heat milk for any recipe that calls for "scalded milk" such as yeast breads. Heating the milk deactivates a protein which can prevent the dough from properly rising.
Froth low-fat milk and add to mashed potatoes. The frothed milk adds a "creamy" flavor without adding fat. The warm milk also keeps the mashed potatoes hotter than when adding cold milk.
Use the heating disk to warm milk and cream to add to egg yolks and sugar for homemade crème anglaise.
"Marinate" flavoring ingredients like vanilla, cloves, citrus peels or spices in warm milk for 10-20 minutes to bring out an enhanced flavor in any recipe that calls for milk.
Use the heating disk to warm milk for an old-fashioned hot milk cake.
Add cold frothed milk to any recipe that calls for milk to add stiffness and a richer texture. Some recipes like custard or meringue call for "stiff" milk or cream which can be achieved by simply using the cold setting with the frothing disk.
Using the cold setting, froth low-fat milk and citrus juice such as lemonade, limeade or orange juice to create a refreshing lemon meringue latte, orange cream latte, or key lime latte.

I can't wait to try this for other recipes - gotta try that last recipe mentioned - refreshing lemon meringue latte, um YES PLEASE!! Or how about this "Hot Caramel Cider" recipe also posted on the Capress Blog. I love a similar drink at a super popular coffee chain so I can't wait to try this one out and see how it compares!

FOLD 2 GO TRIKE

My grandma bought Grady a red Fold 2 Go Trike when he was just a little over 2 and let me tell you he has loved this thing from day 1! It didn't take him long to figure it out even when he was so small. It's definitely a smaller trike that is perfect to teach little ones to first pedal. I can not even tell you how many times he has rode this around my kitchen table and all over our tile flooring! He loves that it has a small storage space with a lid on the back and I have found ALL kinds of things in there, ha!

MY 1ST SCOOTER

The second product that we have is the My 1st Scooter. Grady got this for his birthday last year and both of the boys have used this. They rode it around our drive way and down our side walk all last summer. As a parent I love that the base is wider making it easier for them to put both feet on once they get going and teaching them how to ride on a scooter easier.

LIGHTS and SOUNDS RACER

Radio Flyer was so kind to send us their new Lights and Sounds Racer! Like the other Radio Flyer products we have the boys loved this one just as much! It has some really cool features like Traction Tread on the front wheel to hug the road so that kids can take off really fast without slipping or spinning out.

Another cool thing is that it has 7 buttons that play unique songs and sounds and includes a working turn signal, love that!

The last thing that is really great about this racer is that it has an adjustable grow-with-me-seat so your child can use this for several years without out growing it. As a parent that is a huge plus when deciding to purchase a toy!

I can't tell you how many glasses we have broke in this house, so that is a huge plus for me!! As a busy mom I also love that these are dishwasher and microwave safe another huge benefit!

Tervis also sent over one of their 10 oz. Wavy Marvel Heros Captain America Retro Tumblers ($16) for the boys. Of course they love anything that has to do with Marvel Super Hero's so they absolutely loved this Captain America Tumbler (and they fought over it too, imagine that!). What we loved most about this tumbler is that the sides are wavy making it very easy for them to grip. We also love that we can take this on the go with us using the seal-tight Travel Lid ($4) which makes it virtually spill proof and very practical for everyday use. It's our #1 go to cup!

The best part though is knowing that whatever drink we put in these, whether it be hot coco on a cold dreary day here in Ohio or ice cold lemonade on a hot summer day (yes I'm dreaming!) they will stay just the perfect temperature!

You can also customize these to your liking with all of their accessories available. Add a handle, travel lid, straw w/straw lid, or a shaker top to make it your own.
